Not so many weeks left in Colombia!

Hello. Glad to here that everything is good.  Except for the stuff that is happening with Grandma that is a real downer.  But I know that things will get better. This week was great. We´ve been teaching an investigator named Anderson.  He has made the decision to get baptized.  He has worked with many missionaries for almost a year but he said that something is different about us.  He had his baptismal interview and he seems excited and ready for this step.  He will be baptized this next week.  He has asked me to baptize him and that we can do it in the Caribbean sea.  We have to ask permission from our mission president.  I hope we can, but if we can´t it will still be cool to baptize him.  He's awesome.  We are working really hard on finding new investigators that will take the message seriously.  It´s not hard to find people to listen because everyone wants to hear about Jesus Christ, but people are not committed...

Another week in Colombia

I´m glad that grandma is doing better.  I have been praying for her and I hope that everything goes well. This week for me was good, we had a lot of work to do.  Because this last week they closed down the other nearby city and a few missionaries came here to riohacha.  One of them got sick so then they both left too.  We were only 4 missionaries in riohacha and it was very busy.  But we have had so many small blessings that we are very grateful.  We have been teaching a guy on the beach every day this last week.  His name is Anderson.  He is from Venezuela and he is always selling carved wood to tourists.  He has talked with a ton of missionaries, but hasn´t taken the decision to get baptized yet.  We hope that he will finally take the initiative in these next couple weeks.  My companion and I are working our tails off and we are really enjoying the mission.  I will continue to pray for you all and hope tha...

Another Week in Colombia

Thanks for the words of encouragement mom, Don´t worry, I manifest my love for the Lord in my work and I love him a lot.  This week was great.  We worked a lot once again.  In fact we are finding people that are really excited about the church.  My companion was a convert 4 years ago.  So he helps people understand that anyone can change.  It´s been a real pleasure to serve along side him and I have learned a lot from him.   I have also seen a miracle this week.  In my first week here we were walking with a member and we went down the wrong street and we "accidentally" met a less active member named Yisela.  We set an appointment and passed by the next day.  She has been going through some difficulties and wants to return attending church.  She had an ear infection and was preparing to have surgery on both of her ears. When she said that, my companion asked her if we could give her a blessing.  I pronounced the...
