Another Week in Colombia

Hey Mama and Papa! Glad to hear that the rest of your Christmas went well.  Also good to hear that you guys got some snow finally.  I really enjoyed talking with you guys this week.  If it wasn`t obvious enough how happy I was to see you guys.  Sorry about all the technical difficulties, but it was all worth it in the end in order to talk with you guys. As for the rest of my Christmas I had like 4 Christmas's eve dinners and I puked at the last one.  I can`t complain too much though, it was all pretty good.  I felt a little bad though because that last family that was feeding us didn`t have a lot of money and so I told them I just ate something a little bad for my stomach at lunch. And Christmas day we had a lunch with one of the wealthiest families in our area and I had some goat cheese and they said the other was zebra cheese.  I don`t believe that for a second, but that`s what they said.  And I had some of the best steak in my life....

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas ya filthy animal. And a happy new year. Good afternoon mama, papa, family and friends First off, I hope that you all enjoy this holiday season and that you take a moment to remember the role that our savior plays in Christmas.  Because without Christ it`s just más. This week was pretty excellent.  Elder Peña and I have been trying really hard to find new investigators since our baptism of five.  It`s been a little rough because that was like a climax of my time here so now I feel like I`m in a in-between point.  We have an investigator who is literally next to the church.  We have been visiting her since I was first here.  Normally we would have left an investigator like her because she didn`t attend church for like 2 months and didn't show the interest.  She was a special exception to that though.  My companion and I both felt that.  She is 20 years old and when we first met her she was 8.5 months pregnant. ...

Another Week in Colombia

Transfers were last week and Elder Peña and I are together for another 6 weeks in Alfonso Lopez.  We were both really excited knowing we will be able to work together for a couple more baptisms we have been preparing and also to spend "La navidad" in Alfonso Lopez. This week has been interesting in my studies!  I have been really focused on my patriarchal blessing and the house of Israel.  That has been where most of my personal pondering has been placed.  Or at least for the first half of my week.  In the bible dictionary Israel also means: God will prevail I thought that was really interesting.  I have taken it to heart knowing that the only way God can prevail is if we literally give everything to him.  I finished reading the 4th missionary (Someone left it for me in my suitcase) and also a search for happiness By : M. Russell Ballard All of these study materials and notes and thoughts have really kept me in the mindset that it doesn`t mat...
