Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas ya filthy animal.
And a happy new year.
Good afternoon mama, papa, family and friends
First off, I hope that you all enjoy this holiday season and that you take a moment to remember the role that our savior plays in Christmas. Because without Christ it`s just más.
This week was pretty excellent. Elder Peña and I have been trying really hard to find new investigators since our baptism of five. It`s been a little rough because that was like a climax of my time here so now I feel like I`m in a in-between point. We have an investigator who is literally next to the church. We have been visiting her since I was first here. Normally we would have left an investigator like her because she didn`t attend church for like 2 months and didn't show the interest. She was a special exception to that though. My companion and I both felt that. She is 20 years old and when we first met her she was 8.5 months pregnant. Her name is Alix. She is super sweet. We saw her outside one day just sitting there. So we went over to talk to her. She later said that she had compassion on a gringo trying to talk to her and came over to listen a little more. haha Glad that worked out.
She has now attended church for a month straight. Everything, sacrament, Sunday school, and relief society. And her son Juan Pablo, is the smallest living homosapien to ever be before my sights. I have a deep profound love for this woman and her family. A Christlike love that I will name charity. She has prayed about our message and received her answer. She said one night while she was praying her fan fell, no one else was in the room with her. She said that was all the answer she needed and she is ready to be baptized. I can`t help but chuckle knowing that God responds to OUR prayers how WE need them. So we are preparing the baptism in the ward for the 7th of January.
I am grateful for the opportunity to meet people like Alix and watch as the Lord puts his hand in their lives at his own time and rate. I have been finding a profound comfort in a verse in Isaiah chapter 41:10 I don`t know it very well in English, but in English it probably says something along the lines of, "fear not, for I the lord God am with you." and that is all I`m going to say about that.
Doubt not ,fear not. D&C 6:36 (I think it`s 36, might be 34 or 35)
Thanks for the prayers and the support have a very merry Christmas.
