Un otro semana in Colombia =)

Hola,

This week has been wild, immediately after they had me email you guys last week they sent me and my companion into our area Alfonso Lopez, which is basically in the middle of Barranquilla, and sent us to work.  It was a little tough because I had to get up at 2 am for my flight but I persevered.

This week has been interesting because they all speak really fast here.  I am starting to understand better but it has been very difficult with the language.  It`s okay though I have faith and I also work really hard on bearing my testimony.  The people here are super cool.  Barranquilla is how you would imagine Colombia.  There is a lot of music,  beer, and creatures.  I found a cockroach in my bathroom the other day, they`re huge haha.  Those things do not die.  I saw one get hit by a car and it managed to drag itself off the road.

My companion is super cool.  His name is Elder Peña and is from Bolivia.  He`s been a member for almost 3 years now.  And he has an incredibly strong testimony.  Him and I laugh a lot and he is super obedient so he is always helping me to keep the rules because there are plenty of things I still need to figure out.  It turns out I used a lot of slang from Bogata so that was a little weird.  Haha

We have a couple of progressing investigators.  We already have 4 baptisms planned for the 8th of October.  They are all super cool people.  One of my favorite things to do as a missionary is to teach people how to pray to their Padre Celestial.  It touches my heart to see the realization that they have that it is a communication that he can hear and answer their prayers and concerns.

The food is also really good, they have this dish called Salchi papas.  They are the best.  It`s basically french fries with sausage and whatever else they decide to throw in.  It sounds weird, but it is super good.

Dallin, Congrats on completing your mission bro, I`m sure you finished strong.  Now I`m the only one with this name on a tag preaching the gospel.  I heard your homecoming was great (My mission president was in touch with brother Baker).

Please email me if you guys want to know more about the mission that I didn`t explain, my mind usually goes blank with some of the details, haha.
