Happy Pioneer Day!!

Hello Everyone!! Sounds like everything is good for you guys and I am really glad. Sorry about the short letter last week.  So I am still with the same companion and everything.  My companion is a new missionary like I said and he took a shower at 4:30 in the afternoon so we were late to get the internet, wrote our president letters, and it was already 6 so I had to go. Sometimes things like that happen during training.  But we had a baptism this last week! Sorry I don´t have any photos.  It was super jam packed this last week we didn´t have time to pass by the house for a camera because we would have been late to the baptism. His name is Clemente and he´s 61 years old and the coolest guy ever. Him and his wife have been progressing for a while now.  They had their baptismal interview this last week and she had chosen to wait because she still had been drinking coffee.  Its a hard thing to overcome.  When she told us, she told her hu...

Another week in Colombia

Happy late 4th of July.  Hope that it was really cool. Sorry about the heat there sounds like Cartegena. This week was wild.  We have some new investigators that were referrals from the Bishop and they are a couple and they drink A LOT.  The first time we went to their was almost 3 weeks ago.  When we got there they were really drunk and telling us that they wanted to change their lives.  So we started talking to them about the Plan of Salvation and the word of wisdom.  We left them a pamphlet and came back another day to teach more.  The next time we passed by their house they had completely stopped drinking.  They said that they felt something when we taught them and it was enough reason for them to stop drinking.  This last week they attended church for the first time and they loved it.  We taught them about the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph smith this last week and they were quiet until the end of the lesson and they b...

Una Semana en Colombia (A week in Columbia)

Well I don´t even know where to begin.  This week was a little different. So the last week we got a lot of forms and stuff that we needed to send a lot of information to a lot of different parts.  Because there was a general authority from the church that came to visit for like 2 days here in Cartagena.  So we had a lot of special meetings to do.  That was why I didn´t have a lot of time to write the last week.  (I believe Dave is having a hard time with English- This paragraph didnt make a lot of sense-Louie) The meetings were really cool.  The first was with just the missionaries here in Cartagena.  And he shared a ton of really cool experiences with all of us about people in the U.S. about people in Mexico and in Africa.  We also got a 14 page paper that he wrote for the CCM in Mexico and it was awesome.  I really liked one story that he shared about a young man who left the church and his home in Idaho to do his own things and ...
