My musical skills!! First off, Happy Birthday MOM!!!! I tried getting my mission president to send you a birthday message because I didn`t have time last week on the computer, but he was busy. lol I`m glad to hear that Grandma is good and that I can offer her my services when I get back. Also Felicitaciones a mi hermano por su prueba woohoo!!! This last week was very busy. We had another baptism with our investigator Brayan.  I will send the pics from that too.  I was so happy for him.  It was interesting seeing the spirit work through Brayan so quickly.  When I first met him he was a full blown atheist, but little by little I saw him make changes.  In one of our lessons we sat with him 20 minutes waiting for him to say a prayer.  He was actually sweating because he was so nervous.  Now he says a prayer without a problem. He`s helping us find some of his friends that also have had problems with addictions and want to overcome them. ...

Another week in Colombia

I`m sad to hear about Grandma Frei, I`m sure that is taking a toll on the family.  I hope my prayers find you guys in this hard time. I was just thinking about her the other day.  I was thinking about when we went to the Orem temple open house and her and I stood next to eachother in front of the mirror in the sealing room.  I saw her and I forever it was something I don`t think I will ever forget. This last week for me was busy.  From Wednesday until now we had tons of visits and a baptismal interview and also a baptism.  Sister Amalia was baptized this last week and she asked me to baptize her.  It was a lovely experience and when she got up to bear her testimony she told us that the first time she recieved a Book of Mormon 34 years ago she burned it.  But now she knows it`s true.  She also basically invited her husband to get baptized in these upcoming weeks.  So we´re working with him too.  In fact her husband attended church...

Another Week in Colombia

Well, This was another Carnival here in Colombia.  I was stuck in my apartment for 5 days.  We only left for 3 hours of church on Sunday and went straight back to the apartment.  I am very relieved to be out and walking again. This week I was just reading a lot.  I found every Liahona (Ensign) with conference talks since 2012 until 2018 so I was reading tons of conference talks and in the book of Mormon.  I am in Alma 60 I am trying to finish before the next conference.  I also wrote some poetry, did a ton of exercises, cooked a lot, and one day I got really tired of reading so I slept for 3 hours.  I still called our investigators almost everyday.  Our investigator Amalia will be getting baptized this Saturday and we are super excited for her.  She is super nice and really funny too.  She was in church and she called the Carnivals Satan´s party.  Our other investigator Brayan will be having his interview this week to be ...

Lunch with a member First off, Sorry that I am writing so early in your time, but that was not necessarily my choice. I hope that everything went well for you guys this week. You don`t have to worry about not writing me this week.  I`m writing earlier because of some unplanned events that have occurred in Barranquilla this last weekend.  Don`t worry too much about this email because I`m fine and all of the other missionaries in the coast are fine, but there have been some bomb attacks in the city of Barranquilla so we have been in our houses for 2 days.   They didn`t even let us go to church yesterday because of the unknown danger that could still be passing right now.  But like I said we`re all good especially here in my area.  Because Baranoa to Barranquilla is like Riverton to Salt Lake.  So if bombs were going off in Salt Lake that would be scary, but still a considerable distance from home.  But the scary thing for me is that...
