Another week in Colombia

Good afternoon family and friends, I hope that everything is treating you all well in school, work, and whatever else you`re up too. I was just emailing one of my friends from Peru and he told me we have been out here for almost 6 months.  That kind of weirded me out.  I still feel like one of the new guys out here.  Sounds like everything is good up there so keep up the good work. This week has been great.  I have a new companion named Elder Mejía.  He is from Guatemala.  Él es super amable y siempre tiene un buen actitud (He is super friendly and always has a great attitude).  We have been working really hard together and we have had many new contacts this week.  We have also had a lot of people tell us that they are in a different religion.  They also think we don`t believe in Jesus.  So it has been entertaining to say the least.    This week has been really interesting because we changed our missionary s...

1/2/2017  Estimado Family and Friends, First off, Happy New year! I hope it was full of joy and that you all have a lot of goals to get started on! Second, I am happy to hear that you guys finished the temple work of Nana and grandpa George, I´m sure they are very happy and grateful as well.  Like you said that is what the Gospel is all about, in fact it`s what this whole life`s about.  Learning, growing, and progressing within a family unit.  Families truly are eternal and there is power upon the earth in our day to keep us together for that long. Colombian new years has a lot of alcohol, music, and they eat 12 grapes at midnight.  That`s just about it.  My companion and I slept through the beginning of the new year.  It`s okay we were following the rules haha.  Our neighbors next door, (also our landlord) made us a new years Eve dinner.  Which was super nice considering we don`t talk to them a whole lot.
