Transfers

TRANSFERS They sent me to Rioacha, La Guajira, Colombia. Very close to the Venezuela border.  I am now preaching the gospel to basically Venezuelans and Native Americans on the coast of the Caribbean sea. I was put in a new zone, with 6 other elders.  We got here and we all realized that we are all opening the area.  So no one knows where anything is and we have a lot of work to do.  We work in a casa capilla. (A home that's coverted into a church or meeting place) If we get any baptisms here it will be a miracle.  I beg you to pray for me and my companion elder Castro.  This will be quite the adventure. Have an amazing week. -- Con muchisimo amor, Elder Fuell

Another Great Week in Colombia

Image
Buenas tardes, It looks like you`re all doing great and I am happy that the Jordan temple is getting finished just in time to welcome me home. This last week has been great, we have been working a lot and haven`t been having as much success as we would hope, but we are going to try and improve the efficiency.  But what has really been calling my attention this last week is a talk by President Oaks in the last conference.  About the small and simple things. Think about it: If I don`t do something as simple as sweep my floor in the morning we could have ants and mice.  If you don`t make a habit of something as small as a smile the door could get slammed in my face.  If we don`t read the scriptures one day we can deny answers to the questions of our souls.  If we don`t practice kindness in small and simple ways we can lose friendships and relationships that we could have cherished otherwise forever.  We all have those little things....

Another Week

This week for us was we were working a lot!  We have been trying to work with our members trying to get more references this week, but it didn`t work too well. So we are going to do other methods this week. I also got my package this week!!! Thanks for the chocolates, they made it intact.  And I am sharing... very little... but it was my birthday.  I also got the letters and they were great.  Grandma Fuell had the best letter though. hahaha She told me a funny story that happened to her when she was at Petersons.  If you don`t know what it was ask her about it.  😂 I am really focusing in on my studies right now.  I no longer have the assignment as district leader so I have more time to focus on my companion and my investigators and not other missionaries that make silly mistakes.  I am almost finished with the Book of Mormon again qnd I want to read it one more time before I get home, but I will need to read almost 3 chapters a day. ...
