Another Great Week in Colombia
Buenas
tardes,

It looks like you`re all doing great and I am happy that the Jordan temple is getting finished just in time to welcome me home.
This last week has been great, we have been working a lot and haven`t been having as much success as we would hope, but we are going to try and improve the efficiency.
But what has really been calling my attention this last week is a talk by President Oaks in the last conference. About the small and simple things.
Think about it: If I don`t do something as simple as sweep my floor in the morning we could have ants and mice. If you don`t make a habit of something as small as a smile the door could get slammed in my face. If we don`t read the scriptures one day we can deny answers to the questions of our souls. If we don`t practice kindness in small and simple ways we can lose friendships and relationships that we could have cherished otherwise forever.
We all have those little things. But it always starts in your thoughts. What do you think about when you`re alone. What thoughts make you happy? What thoughts make you nervous? What thoughts make you feel guilty? What thoughts make you courageous? What thoughts bring you closer to the Savior?
Don`t be as concerned about your reputation as much as your character. Your Character is who you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are. Success, happiness, and service are all decisions as much as Failure, sadness, and selfishness are. If you spend more time on one end of the spectrum you`re going to fail in life. The secret is what makes you truly centered. I`ve come to the realization that everyone worships something. Some worship money, others time, others family, others earthly materials. But when we worship the Lord and we focus on his Gospel we begin to slowly cast out everything that relates with failure, sadness, and selfishness and we replace failure with determination sadness with experience and selfishness with reflection.
I finished the Book of Mormon this last week. I will read it again before I get home.
Elder Fuell, be faithful in Christ; and... may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death,
and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your mind forever.
I hope good things are resting on your minds. This was my new favorite scripture together with Alma 37:6-7
Have a great week I love you guys.
