Una Semana en Colombia (A week in Columbia)

Well I don´t even know where to begin.  This week was a little different.

So the last week we got a lot of forms and stuff that we needed to send a lot of information to a lot of different parts.  Because there was a general authority from the church that came to visit for like 2 days here in Cartagena.  So we had a lot of special meetings to do.  That was why I didn´t have a lot of time to write the last week.  (I believe Dave is having a hard time with English- This paragraph didnt make a lot of sense-Louie)

The meetings were really cool.  The first was with just the missionaries here in Cartagena.  And he shared a ton of really cool experiences with all of us about people in the U.S. about people in Mexico and in Africa.  We also got a 14 page paper that he wrote for the CCM in Mexico and it was awesome.  I really liked one story that he shared about a young man who left the church and his home in Idaho to do his own things and be a Biker.  He had a 4 year old brother at the time when he left that grew up and went on a mission and on the mission he felt a prompting to stop by a house and talk with a man on his porch.  After they talked a little they came to the knowledge that they were long lost brothers.  Long story short his brother came back to the church him and his girlfriend got married and she was baptized into the church.

It´s cool to think about how God has a plan prepared for everyone of us specifically, especially the importance of a prayer.

This week I had a personal experience with prayer.

We have an investigator named Juan Carlos that is 18 years old.  He has been reading the book of Mormon and praying in respect to the Book and the things we are teaching.  He has attended the church many times, but these last few weeks he was attending another Christian church with his aunt.  He started to have many doubts about existing a true church.  We invited him to read 2 nephi 28 and asked him to pray about it.

I prayed that night and that entire morning for this young man asking God not to let another one of his precious children fall astray.  I asked in the name of Christ!

We went to his house and he received an answer.  He´s going to be baptized the 15th of July. =)

Also we had transfers and I am going to be training this transfer.  I still have no idea about him.  But I am excited.

I hope everything is well with you guys, I pray for you guys a lot, testify about you guys a lot, and I know that God is blessing you guys for this service I am doing and the services you guys are doing for others.

Sé que nuestro padre celestial nos ama bastante.
