Week One
Hola,
This MTC (missionary training center) is so cool. The Latinos are hilarious and the mission life is way great. I do not even know what to start talking about. My companion and I went to the bathroom the other day and there were two Latino companions and one of them looked at me and said, "I am the black Bill Gates." He said it as clear as day in English! I was laughing so hard. My companion did not think it was "appropriate" but since heavenly father is watching us the least we can do is be entertaining. ;) I scored a goal on some of the Latino´s in soccer the other day. and then they scored on me. I was pretty pumped though. We went to the temple today and we took pictures. By the way the camera you gave me cannot get any pictures on the computer so I will get pictures from someone else and try and send them before my time is up. They drive insane here. We rode the bus over to the temple and on the way there I thought I was going to die. On the way back I just talked to an hermana from Spain about life in the united states. She thinks it´s super cool that we can just buy a gallon of ice cream for like 5 bucks. I think that is the sole reason she would go to the U.S. haha. My district is a party, we laugh sooo much. When we are not super tired. Our classroom has windows that we can look out at an intersection and we have seen almost 4 accidents. Last night we saw an ambulance driving backwards down the street! We were laughing soo hard. It may have not been something to laugh about, but they drive horribly here. Spanish is coming along alright, my compañero is muy inteligente he has already memorized both the first vision and the promise in Moroni 10:4-5. In Spanish. He helps me a lot so I am always grateful for him.
Story time, On Sunday after cena (dinner) I was talking to some Latinos. They call us Nortes or for those of us who come from Utah they say that we come from the factory, but they say faketoree. ¡Es muy divertido!

All of the Nortes here have Latinos in there room except for
us. Blake Sandquist and his companion taught a Latino the wood chuck
tongue twister and that Latino had it perfectly. So he came up to Elder
King (they call him elder queen, and I follow along a good joke so I do the
same) and they were trying to translate it into Spanish so I helped them
and they were saying about how it did not make sense. Which I agree
with. Then the elder who had the tongue twister down to a tee said, "yah
Im frome shikago and English is sooper easy por me" I was cracking
up so I said, "you soy de Brazil y yo soy ustedes Réyno." I did that
with both my hands in the air. They loved that so they called me elder King and
that lasted for the day until the missionary mtc presidents wife got mad at us
for making nicknames. It was fun.
I don´t think elder King liked them calling me Elder king.
El don de lenguas es muy verdad.
Padre, when were you in Venezuela?
