Another 1 Percent
This
week one of the guys in my room elder Eyring (and yes he´s related to president
Eyring, and he´s going to my mission. Pretty cool guy.) was talking
about how since there are 52 weeks in a year that means that 104 weeks would be
a mission. So almost every week counts as 1 percent.
It
has been raining a lot this week and some parts in the ceiling have been
leaking. Elder Sandquist got wet, Elder Williams in my district woke up
in a puddle. So him and his companions changed rooms.
The
other day we were playing volleyball because we play volleyball a lot and I
blocked elder Monson who is like 6´8 so I was feeling pretty happy about that.
Also,
we have been translating English phrases into Spanish and it has been really
funny. One day during a lecture about Spanish subjunctive (which still
makes no sense) me and elder Monson were joking around and he wrote in his
journal and showed it to me it said, "Te odio" which means "I
hate you." After applauding his clever remark I responded in my journal
with, "usted es una herramienta" which means, " you are a
tool" our maestro confiscated our journals but congratulated my
creativity after we explained what a tool was to him. Haha
Story
time,
Last
night I accidentally rolled over in my sleep and rolled off of the top
bunk. It was pretty terrifying but I landed on my feet so I was
good. I then proceeded to start sleeping on the floor when one of the
Latinos in my room said, "¿Qué pasó?" So I talked to him for a second
and climbed my bunk and went back to bed. I almost forgot to tell him
about it in the morning.
I´m
getting more and more pumped up everyday that I put on my tag. Not only
to get up and go study with my friends, but because of what a represent and who
I represent. The days may get longer and harder, but I have the lord on
my side and my mothers (and families and friends) prayers.
Church
is true, I love you.
