Busy Week

This week has been busy!

First off they combined the north American districts so now I am in a district with 17 elders.  Including elder Sandquist! We´ve been working in depth on Spanish grammar to the point that we can´t ask Latinos for help because they have no idea what it is either.

My companion is one of the two district leaders so I have to go to district meetings with him now. It´s okay I actually feel bad because I fell asleep for half of the last one.  But I supported my companion so that´s what matters.

This last week they switched the girls and guys rooms in the CCM because they had more girls than guys in this new group so we are in nicer rooms and our bathroom is way nicer.  But the girls got our urinals.  So it was a rough transition for me.  But the showers are way nicer so I cannot complain.

Also I have a cough.  One of the elders got like a spider bite or something within the first two days we were here and got sick.  I´m still convinced he got zika.  Anyways he was in my room and coughing a lung.  I am not in the know... If zika is airborne don´t let me know.  I want it to be a surprise.

Elder Sandquist and I got to be in a tripanionship for like 3 hours because his companions were sick so that was fun.  I wouldn´t be too upset if his companions got sick again.

Also I got two contacts through the fences in the last week.  Both of them were way cool people.  One was a guy who did illegal motorcycle races.  The other was a lady who attended another church, but she said that she wished they would give her more answers.  So I let her know that there is a church that has more answers.  I then proceeded to point her in the correct direction.

The new elders here are way cool elder Boyack and I hang out with this one companionship and their names are Elder Roman and Elder Delgado.  They give me Colombian chocolate so they are my favorite elders here.  It has this stuff in the center called Dulce de leche. It´s pretty good.

Story time: So the elder who got the bugbite and is most certainly carrying zika, or now has super powers, lived in Vegas.  His dad is a famous magician named Rick Thomas.  He didn´t have any cards so he couldn´t show us any tricks, but he had sweet stories about how his dad raised tigers.  He was telling us about how you cannot tame tigers but you can only train them.  He had a story when he was seven and a teenage, almost full grown tiger, leaped on him because it wanted to play.  In his words, "the baby tigers were cute and all up until they started growing teeth, by then it was more like, ´okay please stop this is actually hurting´. I enjoyed that story so I was hoping you would too.

The temple here was just reopened so I went over there today and it was pretty cool.

There was one elder here who looked at me and told me my parents lied to me and that i´m not 18.  Because I look like I am 23.  I think he lied to me because I am 18.  I think.

Also the guys in my room right now are way cool.  One of them is from Seattle and his name is elder Eyring.  Him and I have been teaching the Latinos funny sayings in English like, "what´s cooking good looking" he also figured out how to say you are fat.  So he proceeds to tell me that every night.  It cracks me up.  Thank you all for your time, Good morning good evening and Goodnight.
