Another week in heaven!



I don`t know if I am even spelling heaven right anymore.

Buenas Tardes mamá y otra mi familia también,

Alright, alright, alright, so this week was good.  Can`t complain about anything in particular.  Except that none of our investigators attended church this week.  They said it was because of the rain.  That`s no excuse to me.  It`s always raining.  So that was a little upsetting, but we all have little trials to overcome in this life and sometimes it`s simply having patience. haha

I set off our fire alarm this week, I was trying to cook empanadas and it took me a second to figure it out haha.  My second time was a lot better.  But our stove is being a little weird and Elder Peña and I don`t want to die.  So I don`t have much for breakfast right now.  But it`s okay our members feed us really well here.  Elder Peña has been in this area for almost 7 and a half months now.  He showed me a photo when he first got into this area and he was visibly more thin.

Also we had interviews with our progressing investigators for baptism.  Neither of them can be baptized yet they both need a little more time.  One because he needs time to understand more deeply the meaning of repentance the other because she has been Catholic her whole life and she has gone to a couple meetings without telling my companion or me.  But apparently she doesn`t want to go anymore.  She said the spirit in our church is strong and that she feels the truth of what we teach.  So now she is preparing for the 3rd of December.  I am super pumped.

Other than that nothing much.  Just walking and teaching and walking and teaching.  It`s been pretty great.

Another Week in Colombia

The group of missionaries leaving the Colombia Barranquilla Mission on 7/17/18 7/17/18 Elder David Fuell is on his way home.  We have enjoyed watching David learn the culture of Colombia and learn to love the people there.  His smile tells us that he loved the people he worked with and learned to appreciate a different way of life.  I know he has testified many times in these last two years about the truthfulness of the gospel and spent the last two years sharing that testimony of his.  We echo his testimony and am so glad David chose to go on a mission.  He didn't have to go.  He did not get paid and there is no earthly reward for dedicating your life for two years to the Lord.  But he went anyway!  We love David and are excited to learn of the things he experienced and the great people he taught and loved.  A las Colombianos que ayudaran a Elder Fuell, gracias y que Dios te bendigas siempre.  Con amor, The Fuells 7/16/18 ...

Two weeks of posts and only two weeks left

July 2, 2018 Sounds like everyone else is doing good.  I am also doing good. I have been spending a lot of time in my house because of the world cup, but it's been some good study time and a lot of reflecting time.  Even though my companion and I haven't had a lot of time to get out to work we have a baptism this week and a possible baptism next week.  His name is Carlos. He's really cool.  He cracks me up.  He is 17 years old and he sometimes is really lazy, but he wants to improve in everything.  Since he is 17 his mom had to sign his permission this week to have his interview and when she went to sign it she stopped and said, "You know that this is a really important decision.  Are you sure you want to do this?" He looked down, put his face in his hands for like 5 seconds looked up at us and at her and said, "Sign it." Without even a look of hesitation in his face.  Then while she was writing it he said "No! Another week in Colombia

Happy late 4th of July.  Hope that it was really cool. Sorry about the heat there sounds like Cartegena. This week was wild.  We have some new investigators that were referrals from the Bishop and they are a couple and they drink A LOT.  The first time we went to their was almost 3 weeks ago.  When we got there they were really drunk and telling us that they wanted to change their lives.  So we started talking to them about the Plan of Salvation and the word of wisdom.  We left them a pamphlet and came back another day to teach more.  The next time we passed by their house they had completely stopped drinking.  They said that they felt something when we taught them and it was enough reason for them to stop drinking.  This last week they attended church for the first time and they loved it.  We taught them about the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph smith this last week and they were quiet until the end of the lesson and they b...
