Another Week in Colombia!
| Miracles! |
If you feel like it, you can ignore the subject because this
week was not just any week in Colombia.
This week started off a little rough because first the couple that we have been preparing for baptism needed to be married first. The mother of the family (Lizbeth) went to the notary and saw all the other people there and got nervous and went back to her home. She decided that she didn`t want to get married because she said she could get married later in 2017. My companion and I told her to pray about it and we went home and studied that night. Neither of us slept very well and we studied and studied for her. When we visited her, we started talking about when Peter walked on water and how he was doing great until the winds were blowing and he was a little afraid. We applied the story to her and she started crying and told us how she was afraid she wouldn`t have enough money. We talked to the ward and they helped us out.
Lizbeth was married to her husband this last Wednesday. We talked to the President of our mission and she had an interview with our District leader. Lizbeth was baptized this last Saturday with 3 of her children. They have all been attending the church for a month or so now. They just needed the little push to get into the water. Also our other Investigator Jonas who had problems with Alcohol and drugs had been clean from those things for a little more than a month so we had a special interview for him with our mission president and he also entered the waters of baptism this last Saturday.
Needless to say, there are no words. I cannot describe the feelings of this last week.
The only thing that comes to mind is Alma 26:12
"Now to continue with faith, diligence, and attention, doing the will of the Lord in all times in all places and in all things."
Thanks for the prayers, thanks for the support, thanks for the love.
It`s helping more than you know.
You`re all in my prayers, I hope the Christmas spirit is strong with you all,
Keep on keepin´ on.
