Santo Tomas-Excited about General Conference



Hello from the other side, I must have called a thousand times.  Not really but I couldn´t help but remember Adele ya know?

Good to hear that all is well up there in the states.  Glad that you guys were able to travel home safely and I hope that the rest of your week goes well with your job.

I am super excited for conference this week I don´t know if I will be able to listen to it in English or not this time, but I would be able to understand it in Spanish now so it´s more of a selfish desire that I have to be able to hear them in my native tongue and not to have to think too hard about the big words they´re using.

This last week has been great.  We are teaching three couples.  La familia fruto, la familia Charris, y la familia Caballero.  They are all progressing super well.  We had a family home evening with la familia Charris yesterday night and watched a video from the church and talked about temples, tithing, and the word of wisdom.  It was a great lesson about personal purity and the goals that we need to have in this life to obtain great things for our futures.

I was a little sick this last week with a cough and I lost my voice.  But I still taught my English class last Thursday and it was a little funny teaching them but it was a little difficult when the next day my voice was worse because of my class.  But all got better.  Always does.  This next week we are going to be working really hard to invite everyone to conference.  Because when someone can go to conference and hear the prophet they are more likely to have the holy ghost bear witness of the truth.

And also I bought two trompos (Tops) this week so I am going to be practicing every night until I get these ones down because they´re super different.  But I am going to be a pro and all of the kids here are going to want to get baptized and be cool like the missionaries.

Another Week in Colombia

The group of missionaries leaving the Colombia Barranquilla Mission on 7/17/18 7/17/18 Elder David Fuell is on his way home.  We have enjoyed watching David learn the culture of Colombia and learn to love the people there.  His smile tells us that he loved the people he worked with and learned to appreciate a different way of life.  I know he has testified many times in these last two years about the truthfulness of the gospel and spent the last two years sharing that testimony of his.  We echo his testimony and am so glad David chose to go on a mission.  He didn't have to go.  He did not get paid and there is no earthly reward for dedicating your life for two years to the Lord.  But he went anyway!  We love David and are excited to learn of the things he experienced and the great people he taught and loved.  A las Colombianos que ayudaran a Elder Fuell, gracias y que Dios te bendigas siempre.  Con amor, The Fuells 7/16/18 ...

Two weeks of posts and only two weeks left

July 2, 2018 Sounds like everyone else is doing good.  I am also doing good. I have been spending a lot of time in my house because of the world cup, but it's been some good study time and a lot of reflecting time.  Even though my companion and I haven't had a lot of time to get out to work we have a baptism this week and a possible baptism next week.  His name is Carlos. He's really cool.  He cracks me up.  He is 17 years old and he sometimes is really lazy, but he wants to improve in everything.  Since he is 17 his mom had to sign his permission this week to have his interview and when she went to sign it she stopped and said, "You know that this is a really important decision.  Are you sure you want to do this?" He looked down, put his face in his hands for like 5 seconds looked up at us and at her and said, "Sign it." Without even a look of hesitation in his face.  Then while she was writing it he said "No! Another week in Colombia

Happy late 4th of July.  Hope that it was really cool. Sorry about the heat there sounds like Cartegena. This week was wild.  We have some new investigators that were referrals from the Bishop and they are a couple and they drink A LOT.  The first time we went to their was almost 3 weeks ago.  When we got there they were really drunk and telling us that they wanted to change their lives.  So we started talking to them about the Plan of Salvation and the word of wisdom.  We left them a pamphlet and came back another day to teach more.  The next time we passed by their house they had completely stopped drinking.  They said that they felt something when we taught them and it was enough reason for them to stop drinking.  This last week they attended church for the first time and they loved it.  We taught them about the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph smith this last week and they were quiet until the end of the lesson and they b...
