This week was great. The Perez family is doing a lot better, as well as my companion and I. We had Elder Christofferson pass by our mission so we all got to go in and listen to him and his wife and also Elder Godoy (of the seventy) and his wife too. It was awesome. They are all spiritual giants. Something that really surprised me with Elder Christofferson, well, two things. First was how great his Spanish was. And two was how humble he was. He kept asking our mission president if he was saying things correctly and also was saying how preaching repentance doesn´t mean anything unless we ourselves are repenting. And mentioned himself as an apostle and said if he has to preach repentance and he isn´t repenting he doesn´t have the spirit with him. It was a really cool experience.

In the end we had a question and answer section of the meeting. (It was super cool to see the insights of an apostle and his suggestions and advise.) One misionera(Sister Missionary) had a question that I think we all have from time to time. She asked why we work sooo hard and we don´t receive any success in that day. And we work with the same kind of effort another day and receive a lot more success. The answer is that there is an opposition in all things (2 nephi 2:11) if we didn´t have good days and bad days we can´t progress. We can´t know happiness unless you have been sad for one day in your life. And we will all be sad more than one day in this life. But the good comes. Especially if we are living the gospel.
Hermano Perez (The dad whose daughter passed away last week) said something in a family home evening that was super special to me. He said that people are always trying to bring sadness out of him that his daughter passed away. And he said he´s not sad, he can´t be. He said, "why could a father be sad when their child is with God?" he said his daughter kept the commandments she was baptized she lived the gospel. He said he has no reason to be sad, except that he misses her but to look beyond today and to be happy that God has such a great plan for us. I thank you all for the prayers and thoughts you have given out for this family. Obviously your prayers have touched them and me. So Thank you.
This week the familia Charris y Familia Fruto didn´t get married. It was a little frustrating because this was the plan all along for them to get married last week. But I didn´t come to Colombia to marry couples, neither to baptize, but to preach the gospel. Not with wisdom of words or the holy Ghost and the Cross of our savior would make no affect in me. (1 Corinthians 1:17) All that I can do right now is seguir adelante con firmeza en Cristo con amor por Dios y por todos los hombres. (Press forward with steadfastness in Christ and a love of God and of all men)
Thanks for everything, I send my prayers, my love and my support.
