There are no words. This week was really crazy.
I have got to start with Monday night. Sorry about not a very long letter
last week we had to move from 6-9 so we left the Internet early to get things
started.
So, we were moving like 3 blocks but we had to move all the big stuff so my companion and I found this random guy driving a motocarro that has a longer part in the back, like a bed to a truck. His name was Reed. We talked him into helping us move for 30 mil pesos (it´s like ten bucks) Our stairs to our old apartment were super steep and a little sketchy to remove our fridge and closets. So we started doing it and my companion almost died, I totally saved his life, then the power went out in the middle of the move. It was really crazy. But we ended up getting everything over to the new apartment then our other elders there had to go because it was 9. So my companion and I live in the 3rd floor of our new apartment and we still hadn´t got anything up the stairs yet. So we just moved everything inside the first floor and went to bed on mattresses on the ground that night. But before we went to sleep I was really thirsty and our new apartment doesn´t have filtered water. So my companion gave me the idea to use the filtered water bottles that they gave us in the CCM for tap water. It didn´t work. So I got way sick. The next morning I woke up with a headache, stomach ache, and with my back more sore than I could possible believe, but surprisingly I said a prayer and started helping my companion. He took it easy on me that morning, but boy was it rough.
Fathers day was crazy here. It was like mothers day. Everyone super drunk and music everywhere. My companion and I couldn´t hear each other in one of the neighborhoods in our area. The area is called San Pedro, but I call it the great and spacious building.
Today we went to cartegena, we took lots of photos the city is really cool. Joe would love it hear. It´s super historical and modern at the same time. Even the taxi drivers are telling us the history of this place. haha And on the way back there was this crazy guy dressed up as a clown dancing around on the bus. I was a little freaked out. I was talking with our district leader in the bus because he´s from a different part of Colombia and he says that the coast basically is it´s own country because things like crazy clowns dancing on a bus isn´t normal where he lives either.
We moved into our new apartment and it looks great, my health is better and we are working hard once again. We have a family that is progressing really well for baptism and also a young man named Juan Carlos. The Lord is blessing our diligence and faith. So we´re going to keep moving forward.
Crazy experiences demand crazy results, such as baptisms and the strengthening of testimonies.
Pray for you all heaps and think of you all often.
