Another Week in Colombia!

Buenas tardes!

This week was crazy.  Starting off, we didn´t have water for a week.  It wasn´t too bad except for the problem about the bathroom because the toilet couldn´t flush.  But I don´t want to talk about that.  But we got money on the last Tuesday so we could buy a little bit of water.  But I also bought a budget plan for these next to weeks to stay more organized.  We have been working really hard and we had a baptism two weeks ago.  It was Hermano Clemente I mentioned him a few times.  He was awesome, he moved to Cartegena a week ago so we don´t have the pleasure of seeing him anymore, but we gave his reference to some sister missionaries so I am sure him and his wife will be well taken care of.

This last week we found some interesting people.  We have been working in a part of our area that has a little more money so not many people have been accepting the message.  My companion and I have just been using the little cards from last years Christmas to get people to come listen to us.  It´s been working really well.  The only problem is that the people in this area all really believe weird stuff.  We went to one house and this lady was trying to convince us that Jesus Christ is a woman.  No joke.  A woman. She gave me a card to her church, it is really interesting I put it in my suitcase so I can show you guys in a year.

That´s the other thing, *Rocky Music* I hit my one year mark this week.

We had a zone conference on August 3rd so I could see a lot of the guys from my original group.  Because I came here with 6 other white guys.  Or North Americans, whatever you want to call them.  One of them is named Elder Gibbons he was in Valledupar so I didn´t see him for like 8 months.  So that was nice.  He got really fat in like our first 3 months and he was skinnier than me so that freaked me out.  But he´s skinny again.  He got sick in Valledupar.  So, secret to losing weight: get Bronchitis in Valledupar

But yeah, it´s been quite the year.

Sorry for these last couple weeks with my time that I have had to write.  It´s been a little wild because like I said we didn´t have money last week so I was paying for our time in the Internet with a bunch of coins.

Also we have played a ton of Monopoly and Chess in these last few weeks and no one can beat me.  It´s like I have a gift or something.  But yeah, I´m rocking it out here in Colombia in Cartegena for another week and we have Transfers.  I think I might still be here for another Transfer.

Oh, and more news from a mission president this week.  Gualajira is open to North American missionaries in my mission.  If that doesn´t mean anything to any of you tell Ken Vuyk and he can explain it.  So I have the chance of serving in native American villages next to Venezuela.  Maybe I will maybe I won´t.  But it´s some cool news.

I pray for you guys a ton, so don´t worry about that.  I hope you´re enjoying your travels from home. Keep Tommy boy safe. If you need anything shoot me an email. =)

Have a great week.
