And again, another week in Colombia!

Hello, First off, we were helping our bishop this week with the information of some recent converts in the church to send to the general offices.  He got frustrated and said, "oh my heckling" and it made me laugh a little.  I thought it was worth mentioning.

Also, our elders quorum president was released from prison and is under house arrest.  His advice for me is that I never go to a Colombian prison.  I think I will follow his advice.  He is really sick and he´s a lot skinnier than when he left so we will be lending our services this week a little bit. Thank you all so much for your prayers when my companion and I were talking to him after he got back, we were the first ones to visit him, I mentioned that I told my family to pray for him and he almost cried and thanked me and my family.  He was also preaching the gospel in prison and was giving books of Mormon to people that were interested in reading it.  He said he was in the process of converting a pastor.  We asked him why the pastor was in prison and he said he forgot to ask. haha

The other day I finished the book of Mormon in Spanish.  That really pumped me up to teach more people. Also we are still working to perform a miracle on the 2nd of December.  Our mission is going to re-live the experience of Alma in Mosiah 18:16 and we are going to baptize 204 people in our mission.  We´re going to be baptizing two people that day from our area.  It´s a small family, a mother and her daughter, that are really interested if the Book of Mormon is true and they are reading, praying, and attending the church to receive an answer.  They are progressing really well and attended church for the first time yesterday.  They had to leave early because her daughter had a fever, but we have 2 lessons with them this week so we are really excited.

Other than that we are just looking a lot to find new people to teach.  We are having problems with people that we call in Spanish Fantasmas.  Fantasmas means ghosts, or people that we meet have a lesson or two and we can never find them again.  So we are praying and looking.

Thanks for your prayers and support these last weeks.
Special request to pray for my companion this next week he´s been having a hard time.  ¡Que tenga una buena semana!

I know these things are true.  I hope you all can read in the BOM, Ponder (or like it says in Spanish meditate) on the message that it contains, and pray to God our eternal father and question if these things are true.  Those who do it with faith, sincerity, and real intent will receive an answer from the Holy Ghost.

I KNOW that is true.  I have received my answer and I hope you can receive yours.

I have been here in Colombia for 14 months to learn from these words:

Faith
Sincerity
Real intent                      (Please look up what they mean)
Diligence
Attention
(1 Nephi 16:28 in Spanish heed is attention, Moroni 10:4-5)
