Another week in Mexico

Read the subject and think about someone else. =) (Joe started this by saying another week in mexico!)
Yeah.  This week has been pretty busy.  We are working in a new area that´s called Turbana.  It´s part of our area but the missionaries stopped working in it for a while because it is almost a half hour from the church.  It´s basically a bunch of farmers.  They are all really cool and really receptive to the gospel.

We went there last week with a few members for only like an hour and we had already invited like 40 people to attend the church with us.  We talked to a less active that lives there in Turbana and he is going to lend a part of his farm to us this next week to let us have a sacrament meeting.  I´m super excited it´s like we are basically starting a branch.

We are also teaching a small family that have family members in the church.  They are of another religion and attend every Sunday as a family so I didn´t think they would be very interested.  However the mom is reading the book of Mormon and she has been praying about it, but she still isn´t taking the time to attend our church.  She actually lives closer to our church than the the other church so she is really dedicated to her church, but she said that if she gets an answer she is willing to get baptized.  That impressed me because that is real intent.

So we are working with her and looking for other people to teach and going to that small town.

Also today we were playing baseball and I threw out my should for a second, but then I popped it back in and ran a home run so that was cool.  I was going to send you guys some videos and photos today, but I forgot my adapter sorry.

I hope you all know that I am super pumped to be a missionary and I am actually a little sad that I am in the last year of the mission.  I asked and they said I can´t extend.  (it´s a visa thing) So I am going to be serving a 23 month mission.  Because I have a return date for the 18th of July.  But it´s whatever.  I will get to see you guys sooner and have time to prepare for school so that will be cool.

I pray for you all a ton and by name.

Have a great week!
CHAO!

Subject: Another week in Colombia
Hey! Buenas tardes.
Thanks for all the info.  I will pray a lot for you guys and especially for grandma Fuell.

This week was also a very normal week for me.  We worked a ton with our investigators that have a baptismal date for the 2nd of December and none of them attended church this week so that was a little frustrating.  I have also been a little sick to my stomach this week.  But I have been able to work really hard so I am sure that God is just giving me the right amount of energy to do the things he wants me to do.

I have also been praying a ton for the gift of discernment because we are finding a lot of new people to teach but nobody is keeping commitments.  But this is missionary work.  We invite, they commit and we follow up.  I just need to find a simpler way to follow up.

Also we made pancakes this morning and I let an elder in my district win in monopoly today.

There was a lot of stuff that happened this week but I can´t remember anything when I am writing you guys.

But it´s okay because I wrote it all down in my journal.

I can´t think of anything else to say than this: I love being here in Colombia.  Even if it can be difficult sometimes to be far from my family and the people that I miss from the US I know this is where I am supposed to be.  I know God has a perfect plan for his children.  In this world that seems completely unfair sometimes he will make it all fair in the end.  I will miss walking in the crazy streets and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Until that moment when I miss it I am just going to love it as I live it.  I invite you all to love the moments you are living right now because even if today seems difficult you will never be able to live October 23rd 2017 ever again.  Do something for someone else.  That makes the days a lot better.

I love you all I pray for you all and I hope for you all. =)
