Herro!!
This week has been nuts.
Monday: After we got out of the Internet our family home evening cancelled so we decided to work in a different part of our area that was a little more humble. We found new people to teach, but they make me a little nervous.
Tuesday: I woke up and I was having a hard time focusing on my studies and everything, it´s been a stressful couple of weeks. So I received a priesthood blessing from my companion and that helped me out a ton. The leaders also called me and told me that we were going to Barranquilla on Thursday so we had to change our district meeting to Wednesday and sleep in Cartagena that night. So I had to reschedule some things to make time for the baptismal interviews this last week. There were 10 baptismal interviews. For the 1st of December.
Wednesday: We had our district meeting and then the zone leaders came and told us that we had to go to Cartagena at 4 to practice a skit that we are doing the 13th of December. So we had to cancel all of our lessons and leave basically right after lunch. After that practice of our skit we went to the house of the zone leaders and we slept on their floor.
Thursday: We woke up at 4 am and went to Barranquilla and we had a sweet zone conference. We got back and I received like 10 phone calls from my district because the baptismal interviews were all falling like crazy. There were tons of investigators that were not ready and others that hadn´t received all of the lessons so we postponed interviews to Sunday.
Friday: We worked like normal all day and founds some new investigators and then I went to another town called Arjona to do some baptismal interviews then I went back to Turbaco and had dinner.
Saturday: We forgot that we had a ward talent show so we went to the church at 10am (the four missionaries in Turbaco) and we planned a skit from nothing in 2 and a half hours. It was hilarious. After that we worked and had lessons until 6pm and the talent show was supposed to start at 6pm (but we are in the coast of Colombia so everybody knows 6pm means 6:30pm) So we were there at 6pm obviously because we are missionaries and no one showed up until 8pm. So we had to leave to eat dinner at 8. So we didn´t even end up participating in the ward talent show which was a little disappointing.
Sunday: None of our investigators came to church. We stopped by their houses and one said he would come in an our because he was doing laundry and he never came. After church we had lunch then we got a call to go to cartagena. Then they called us to say we didn´t have to go to cartagena then I called my district and half of them were already heading to cartagena so then the zone leaders said that we should go to cartagena. So we went and it was a huge waste of time. At 6pm we were going to watch video from the area presidency, but they showed the Mexican area and it was in English and nobody changed it for like 10 minutes. I laughed a bit at that.
Sorry this was long, but some weeks nothing happens and some weeks everything happens. It was a very spiritual week I had to lean on the lord quite a bit.
Love you guys have a great week.
Happy birth Jan.
