Another week in Colombia


No I did not get my birthday treat. Look up Manzanares Santa Marta Colombia.  It`s a beautiful city, only problem is that there is a lot of tourists.

Sounds like everyone is good.  I hope Kathryn practiced her Italian because that should be interesting. Hope Tom and Janaye have fun at Prom.  When`s prom?

This week for us was a very normal week.  We have been searching for a new house in the morning and in the afternoon we are working in the missionary work.  We found some apartments that were really close to the beach but they were only a little out of our price range so our mission president said no. =( I was hoping to go on early morning runs on the beach.  But my companion and I still went on a early morning run to the beach.  It`s like 10-15 min from our house.  It was refreshing.  My companion is a great guy.  He has 10 months in the mission and is a little crazy sometimes, but we get along really well.  We have 2 baptisms this week from a small family that we are working with and we have 3 baptisms the 14th of April. 

The two baptisms this week are Maicol and Damian.  They are two young men.  Maicol is 16 and Damian is 11.  They both went to the church for a first time in February with my companion and his last companion.  Their brother Derek was baptized like 2 weeks ago and is already the teachers quorum president.  They have been really fun to teach even though I haven`t been here for a long time I helped with almost 3/4 of their lessons this last week.  haha

I don`t think anything new has happened this last week.  It`s been really fun and all.  Normal.

Another Week in Colombia

The group of missionaries leaving the Colombia Barranquilla Mission on 7/17/18 7/17/18 Elder David Fuell is on his way home.  We have enjoyed watching David learn the culture of Colombia and learn to love the people there.  His smile tells us that he loved the people he worked with and learned to appreciate a different way of life.  I know he has testified many times in these last two years about the truthfulness of the gospel and spent the last two years sharing that testimony of his.  We echo his testimony and am so glad David chose to go on a mission.  He didn't have to go.  He did not get paid and there is no earthly reward for dedicating your life for two years to the Lord.  But he went anyway!  We love David and are excited to learn of the things he experienced and the great people he taught and loved.  A las Colombianos que ayudaran a Elder Fuell, gracias y que Dios te bendigas siempre.  Con amor, The Fuells 7/16/18 ...

Two weeks of posts and only two weeks left

July 2, 2018 Sounds like everyone else is doing good.  I am also doing good. I have been spending a lot of time in my house because of the world cup, but it's been some good study time and a lot of reflecting time.  Even though my companion and I haven't had a lot of time to get out to work we have a baptism this week and a possible baptism next week.  His name is Carlos. He's really cool.  He cracks me up.  He is 17 years old and he sometimes is really lazy, but he wants to improve in everything.  Since he is 17 his mom had to sign his permission this week to have his interview and when she went to sign it she stopped and said, "You know that this is a really important decision.  Are you sure you want to do this?" He looked down, put his face in his hands for like 5 seconds looked up at us and at her and said, "Sign it." Without even a look of hesitation in his face.  Then while she was writing it he said "No! Another week in Colombia

Happy late 4th of July.  Hope that it was really cool. Sorry about the heat there sounds like Cartegena. This week was wild.  We have some new investigators that were referrals from the Bishop and they are a couple and they drink A LOT.  The first time we went to their was almost 3 weeks ago.  When we got there they were really drunk and telling us that they wanted to change their lives.  So we started talking to them about the Plan of Salvation and the word of wisdom.  We left them a pamphlet and came back another day to teach more.  The next time we passed by their house they had completely stopped drinking.  They said that they felt something when we taught them and it was enough reason for them to stop drinking.  This last week they attended church for the first time and they loved it.  We taught them about the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph smith this last week and they were quiet until the end of the lesson and they b...
